About the designner

Tendai Murairwa

Since 2021 I’ve been working hard to bring my creative aspirations to life through my many collections.
Hailing from Zimbabwe, I embarked on a life-changing journey to the UK in 2003, igniting my passion for fashion. Starting in Yorkshire I found joy in upcycling .

Pursuing formal education in Costume Design at Screen Yorkshire, I birthed Teestyletribe, blending African prints with vibrant designs.
My vision? Global high streets offering sustainable African fashion within five years. Embracing inclusivity, I champion genderless clothing. From learning to sew at 40 to gracing ITV This Morning and Channel 4's Steph's packed lunch, sewing paved my path. With dedication, I inspire aspiring designers, proving dreams defy age. My journey resonates with passion, determination, and creativity.
